Chambers USA Recognizes Tydings' Lawyers

Tydings is pleased to announce that Chambers and Partners has again ranked the firm and two of its partners, Alan Grochal and Richard Costella, for their work in bankruptcy and restructuring in its 2019 edition of Chambers USA.

Bankruptcy/Restructuring

This is the seventh consecutive year Chambers has ranked the firm’s bankruptcy/restructuring practice.  Its editors comment that Tydings is known as a “respected team with an extensive history acting for both creditors and debtors.  Broad industry experience includes representing major financial services and healthcare clients.  Handles matters such as Chapter 11 reorganizations and bankruptcy litigation, as well as Chapter 7 and Chapter 13 proceedings.”  One source was quoted saying, “When they’re my opposing counsel, I welcome the opportunity to be on the other side.  They’re very knowledgeable and respectful attorneys.”

Chambers also commented, “Alan Grochal is esteemed for his impressive track record in significant bankruptcy cases.  Of Richard Costella, Chambers wrote, “He is a good litigator with a great reputation.”  He handles complex debt restructurings and foreclosures and litigates preference claims and avoidance actions, among other matters.

Bill Carrier, the firm’s managing partner, believes this recognition reflects the firm’s longstanding reputation and its attorneys’ experience.  He said, “Tydings lawyers must be trusted counsel and skilled advocates.  We are gratified Chambers acknowledge the skill of Alan Grochal and Richard Costella.”
